Raceline, Freerider MX Magazine and just announced new major sponsor, Platypus Australia (Skin & Metric Clothing) are putting on another huge event at Parklands on the Gold Coast on April 3rd & 4th.

FmxAustralia.Com is also proud to announce we are now a sponsor of this event aswell!! :D

Entry tickets are $30 for both days which gets you into the FMX NATIONALS as well as the HYPERZONE

Hi-tech import car show & the Special neon show are on the Sat night as well as FMX practice & set up.

All comp events are on Sunday incl Big Air & The flippers.

Entries for riders are also still being accepted...

Riders under 18yo MUST have a signed parent/guardian authorisation form, min age is 16yo

yea tickets will be avail at the gate, a $30 ticket gets u sat from midday to see all the practice sessions & sunday from 8am for heats, main, big air & best of the rest, & the hyperzone car show

That's cheaper than last year isn't it? Great value, even when you're not watching FMX there's the entire place full of hotted up cars, bikes and bikini girls everywhere!! Is the Hyperzone car show much the same as Street Torque last year? Or is it set out differently? Is there a list of riders so far etched onto paper?
Anyway, I'm counting down to it hehe cya's all there

hey dude yea the wet weather all over seq & north nsw kept lots of ppl away from king of the coast, the only place it didnt rain was at parklands, so u all keep fingers crossed for good skies on april 3--4 & well pack the place out, HYPERZONE import car show is lookin awesome & we have a huge neon, & incar ent show on the sat nite, also fluro body painting on a hottie under neons, should be xlnt

Not entirely sure, I think it'll just be discussed on the day, But I see that 80 foot is one of the attractions as advertised on the poster, so most definetly I'd say at least one ramp'll be 80 foot :)

hey dude, gaps will start at 60+ on sat for practice & warm up etc, & will go to 75--80 for the pros main & big air etc, for the best of the rest main (amateurs) prol 65--70, however final decision will be made at the event,

Looks to me that these next couple of weeks are going to be wet (Which REALLY isn't helping me out, just bought a new YZ250F and can't even get a go on the ramps whilst it's wet :() Last year we were very lucky to miss that heap of rain, fingers crossed it's dry this time too

Looking at pics from the other shows, I would say there will be lots of v8's and Im taking my road bikes too now and will doing my bit to kill some tyres and damage the ozone layer..

Im so excited, i can't stands it no more as popeye would say... Im going to bed now so tomorrow and one day closer to the event can come quicker.... As at matter of fact, I might just sleep for the next week and half... :D

yea some tuff v8s incl the stealth commodore etc its a mix of 4s rotaries &hi-tech 6s, v8s & some sick imports
dude the weather should be ok, in the events business u have to stay positive, so we dont talk about nasty skies, but hey after all weve had here in the last month the sky must almost be outa water

have you thought of putting up some stuff at the event promoting your site? Or even making up signs out of duct tape and putting them on the downramps like paul did at k.o.t.c? hahaha. Seriously though, it doesnt take much effort to get some free advertising. I could even whip up some A3 black and white flyers and bring em along with me. Yes, it is a massive kick in the balls knowing that there will be an ubundance of friends and members from here that I'd love to meet up with, like Adam, Noel, Andy, Steve, Lis, Sarah, just to name but a few, and all so close aswel, as little as 3hrs drive. But once again the evil word "cost" reers it's ugly head, and when ya take into account, entrance fee, fuel money, alcohol money, which would add up to more than several times the amount of the previously named costs put together lol, and not to forget food i guess....it all adds up to quite a lot which makes for one hell of an expensive weekend, which i simply just cannot afford right now. So yes, once again, I'm sidelined back in the deadzone of hell, as i sit back twiddle my thumbs and wait for a call from Andy or Steve or someone tellin me how they went, as Andy did at the Pro Am. And then wait another few days for pics and video footage to arise here, THEN i truly will be pissed that i couldn't attend, just like i was at the King of the Coast event, which i couldn't get to either :(

hey gstyler, we changed the format so all the heats, main, big air, best of the rest etc, will be held on sunday the reason is to allow more time for practice & set up so every 1 has a good opportunity to get sorted & get it right for the main event etc
confirmed times are
sat 8am gates open for competitors
sat 10am riders briefing & meeting
sat midday warm up & track check
sat 1 pm practice & set up
sat 5pm practice finished
sat 5.30 sausage sizzle & bbq (so bring ur barby etc)
sat 7pm hot import neon show in main pavillion
sat 9pm show closes (all good fmx riders go to bed, lol)
sun. 8am gates open
sun 10am warm up
sun 10.30 1st rd of heats
sun 1pm. best of the rest main
sun 1.30 fusion big air
sun 2pm skin, freerider & metric present the aust FMX NATIONALS
main event.
sun 4pm winners & grinners presentation with RACELINE BABES
sun 5pm pay time for grinners
NOTE.. the organisers reserve the right to change or alter times & program as circumstances may require
