Mike Mason suffered a nasty crash in Practice but made up for it Prelims and topped the field with a crazy extension on his one handed indys and his backflip heelclickers.

Blake "Bilko" Williams was affected a bit by the wind on a couple of his hits, but trumped through and unveiled a new trick to the FMX world -- the backflip ruler. Taking the superman flip to the next level Bilko extends his body well past parallel with the motorcycle.

Todd Potter isn't a name we've seen in Finals for awhile, but his Metal Mulisha training must be paying off…with stretched superman backflips and dialed backflip nac nacs.

Nate Adams made it into Finals with some banger tricks like the backflip lazy boy, the backflip no hander and the backflip cliffhanger off the 75-foot hit. Always ahead of the game, it’s only Adams and Bilko who are throwing down the cliff flip.

Other riders, including Jeremy "Twitch" Stenberg and Jim McNeil, did not qualify for the Finals. Several riders like Beau Bamburg, Chuck Carothers and Nate Adams seemed to be trying some sort of new stylish corked out backflip, similar to the underflip which Mat Rebeaud is known for. Be on the look-out for variations of this underflip in Finals and through each Dew Tour stop this summer.

awesome work bilko, and nate has cliffy flips down how good is that, he must have been practicing hard, seeing as he couldnt do them a few weeks ago on the crusty tour. and potter too, didnt think hed have superflips down so fast

Bilksy did well in his 1st final run and sealled up 2nd place behind Nate who is really on his game and riding so solid. then in his 2nd run Bilko was just puttin a show on for the crowd and went down hard on a superflip and has injured his lower leg/ankle, havn't heard exactly what but congrates to all the finalists, it was tough to do well on the course..

still no word on him.. he was really worried bout his ankle area and in pain.. it must have been sore cause he doesn't normally show it.. I'm beat up today, stiff neck, mushed fingers, bruised knees and stomach/chest.. hopefully nothin serious and feel better in few days and back for it all in clevland

congrats to bilko!!! hope his ankle is not a serious injury, would love to see him take the win at the next round in cleveland. does anyone know where some pics are at? really wanna see nates cliffy flips.

I spoke to Nugsee's agent last night and I guess he dislocated a bone in his ankle and crushed the bones in the top of his foot. He should have had surgery to repair that last night. He also had a minor fracture in his fib, but that will heal up before his foot is better on its own. I believe he had surgery last night so he should be well on his way to a full recovery. She had said it would be about 12 weeks but that things looked good. Bummer to see the Aussies go down. They both rode super well and looked real good.
