Ey all,
I ve recently gone to my local motor cross track and found that i am allways landing on ma back wheel, even on the other side off the table top. Is there any technique on how to get ma front wheel down to create a smooth landing?
Im also findin (maybe it just feels like it) that im getting more hight then distance. Is there any techniques i should be using?

Thanks Heaps Azza

Tap the back brake (with the clutch in of coarse) That should bring the front end down for you.

yeh mate try tapping the brakes and i mean TAPPING not full on anchors. (and as mentioned clutch if ur using the bakkies will probly save sum skin.)
i find using the front brakes for a fraction of a second brings it down aswell but it tends to bring it down past flat so maybe front brake tap towards the end of the air time. or lean forwards towards the second half of the jump. so u kinda flow over the jumps. dont be really rigid or itl lose ur rhythm.

otherwise id suggest that if ur at a track have a good watch of how the good riders do it. just watch their 'attack position' and body language on the track and see if you can figure out sum tips / ideas to help you keep low over the track jumps. ull be bubba scrubbin in no time mate lol.

good luck buddy.

yer tapping the back brake helps alot if the fronts to far up or you maybe leaning to much back when going off the jump could be one of the problems

Hmm ill have to try that. When TAPPING the bak brake will it be an instant responce or will it take some time?

Should i lean forward or use the brakes?

it will be instant when you tap the back brake. um i find if your constantly pushing the front end down with your body you will wear out real quick. also if your front is too far down do a 'panic rev'. this is where you rev the bike in the air which will bring the front up. dont do it with the clutch in!

Are you giving the throttle a bit of a crack just as youre leaving the lip..this also causes the front to lift up. Follow the above suggestions and also have a squiz(search) of existing threadsas theres some for just about everything, and should be able to find some usefull info.

All the best bud,
