i got some new gearbox oil, havent had the chance to put it in.
but do you think it will make it easier to upshift?
the suff in it is pretty old.
and my bike is able to shift gears fine, jsut it feels a little harder to click it up then normal.
with cars, (manual) i ran lighter gear oil and it allowed my gears to slide in much more easily.
anyone know if its the same with bikes?

wayne, it probably would be the same with a bike but the only problem i see is that if u go with a oil thats too thin, it may not protect the gearbox and clutch as the regular stuff will. MX gearbox's take a real hammering so if i were you i would stick to the stuff that your dealer or your manual reccommend. Get good stuff like Silkolene, will help keep your gearbox fresh and hopefully prevent any future problems....Phheeww.... If only my English teacher could see me now!! LOL

get new oil. lol, you need it. it may not make your bike run better, but it will make it run for longer and smoother.
silkolene also makes great gear box oil.

Regular changing of your gearbox oil is VERY important to improve the life and condition of your clutch. I know any race 2 stroke gives the poor old clutch a very hard time. I'm running Motul.
