what do you do with the airfilter box when you cut the side plates?

well mate every bike is different. sometimes people leave the box alone and can cut the plates only. i cut my airbox and not the plates cos i find it more comfortable to grab there on my bike. what kinda bike u got? cos im sure ppl hav pics of their bikes so they can help u out if u tell us wat bike then we can find sum pics of them.

I reckon cut the plates only and leave the airbox alone coz if ya wanna bring it back to stock for selling or to race(which is what ya should be doin :), i imagine the airbox would cost more to replace than the plates.

Hmmm.. Who quoted you that? Cause an Airbox for honda CR 2 stroke 02-current retails for about $140 if my memory serves me correctly.

damn 800 for an air box, i dont think it would be that much, if so try a wrecker or sumthin, on my kx i was able to get away wif only cutting my plates

yeah i wasnt to do it to my bike but i get a new bike in a year

the bike im getting is a yz 80 large wheel 2000 model i was thinking that i should get one of the uni filters the ones that dont need a air box then just put the box back on when i sell it

also them 80s airbox is underneither the sides, so i asume it would be weired, but ud have 2 cut both id say..... dont cut them unless u need them!!
