hey all

im new to the owning a moto club and i dont know much about mechanical side of bikes. its makes it even better that i have no one i can ask for help/show me what to do. i have tought myself a few things that are a must but there is still alot more i would like to know.

i was just wondering, is there a way that you can get a good chain tension using something like 3 fingers between the chain and swingarm for an example as i am not 100% sure on how tight it needs to be .... i have a rough idea but i want to know for sure before i do any damage.

cheers

hey mate. yeah ive been told about using the three finger test. But also just have a look around the sprocket and you can sort of tell whether its really too loose. But also you dont want to have it too tight because if you landed hard or cased or something like that then it can do damage. Done that one myself lol.
Dont take my prattling on as gospel but hope it helps ya
