went out riding on sat, went over one of the big jumps and came down pretty hard on the front tyre, kept riding, then when washing the bikei noticed what looked liek brake fluid all over my front caliper.
started swearing at myself cause i jsut changed the brake pads, and my brakes went working that well, anyhow it tuns out my fornt disc is convave and the pads are wearing only on the inside, more riding will fix it.

but yeah the oil was from the fork seal, that much came out it was dripping onto the ground. so it looks like ive gotta get new seals.

has anyone replaced their fork seals on a cr250.?

was it hard or easy? ive replaced em on my KX100 and that was fairly easy.

o and also to make it worse, i came off twice, and from one of the times i cracked my subframe, so i need to weld that up.
it broke along the weld so it should be fine to grind it down and weld it up again, aslong as i keep everythign stright.
and i bent my muffler, stratched my sideplate and fornt numberplate, and put some nice holes into my new grips.

my mate cameoff to, snapped his brake leaver. and lucky he had his back protector on, apparently he was doing what looked like reverse superman with the bike backwards.

if you can do them on your old kx100, you can do it on your cr250. they are just different sizes.

Yeah I've done mine way too many times, bike exactly the same as yours. Do you have the manual? If so it should be no problem, probably only slightly different from the KX I'd think. If you don't have a manual, then I'd recommend getting one lol. I'm seeing a lot of people messing up subframes and stuff lately which is kinda worrying, ya's must be eatin in pretty bloody hard since I've had a few good ones the past year or so and left some scars in my muffler and sideplate but never done any damage to the subframe that I know. Are you gonna weld it yourself? Because I thought ya needed a special welder or something for alloys... At least I did on my old RM when the water pump cover got eaten out. Anyhoo I'm kinda rambling, but I say don't worry too much about your grips, or even your plastics, my new grips got shredded last crash, and I got a huge hole in a glove and it doesn't seem to affect too much. And as for the plastics, well, they're gonna get mangled from time to time, just chop em up when it gets bad ;) Dammit I made another long post...:o

Yea, seals are pretty much the same in all bikes, just different sizes. And about you welding it up, what kind of welder are you using? Cause I'm pretty sure that you do need a special kinda of welder to weld alloy, I'm not what kinds you can use if theres more then one, but you can use a mig welder (wire feed) with a special kind of sheilding gas and I think that you have to use a different kind of wire, somthing other then the normal copper wire, but I'm not sure. I'll ask my shop teacher if ya want.

nar my mates dad can weld, it needs to be a mig.

i got a manual but i dunow where it is(Moved house), im jsut goin to rip it apart and try and rember where everything is.

shoudl be fun, the only bit i hated on my old one was the oil levels that i have to put in.

i think a good % of the reason the fork seals blew was because i leave the bike sitting on t he fornt wheels, and for 2weeks i forgot to blead the air inside the shock, and jsut bottoming out on the front of it must have cracked the seal.
