I've recently added some new items to improve my Stereo to my broom broom car and just wondering if any other people share this interest and what kinda stuff your running. I'm just about finished my install, just got the amp and subwoofer to install. I'm running.....


Head Unit - Panasonic CQ-DFX972N, 4 x 50W, 3D Dot Matrix Display, Remote Control, Bright blue display, 5V Subwoofer-out, MP3 playback and few other things

Front Speakers - Kicker K6.2 Component system, 6 inch, About 150W/75WRMS power handling and currently running of Head Unit for now unfortunetly

Rear Speakers - Kicker EX60 Coaxials, 6 inch, About 90W/45WRMS power handling and currently running of Head Unit for now unfortunetly

Amplifer - Fusion Powerplant FP2500X, 2 channel, and about 125WRMS x 2 @ 4Ohms or 500W x 1 @ 4Ohms Max power

Subwoofer - 1 x Fusion F12, 12 inch, and about 250WRMS/500W power handling

Cable - Fusion 4 gauge Amplifer Kit and 10 gauge Speaker Cable

For everything listed it would cost the losers that pay retail about $2300 but because of the bargining power inthrusted on me by Mungo I got it all for about $1800, choice excellent my friend

ive been wanting to get a full new stereo set up for so long, but im saving a house deposit...and i see no point in making an absolutely killer stereo in an escort :D

but now i have a 5yr old alpine deck (tuner/cass), 6 cd stacker under the passenger seat. 2x crap philips 6's in the front, 2 sony xplod 3way 6x9's in the back, and a kenwood 12" sub running off a sony 2ch 200w amp in the boot.

not overly special, but it still does the job, and puts most of my friends cars to shame :D

PMSL (at this brockonyz125 poser). Buddy you have no idea about car audio. Kicker is right up there with the best when it comes to making subs, speakers and amps. They sponsor heaps of pro mx/sx/fmx riders in the states so the real fans will know they are a good brand. Anyway I don't have to explain myself to a poser, especially one who has no idea what there on about. Word of advice for thou oh so wise and knowledgeable Mr Brocky. Yeah I was going to go the Alpine route but there seems to be a bit of a premium on the $$$$ side of things and the jury is still out as to whether its worth it. That plan changed when I got my head unit cheaper because it was top of the line model and the last one in stock so I quickly changed my mind. I proby would have rathered an Alpine headunit though cause there simple and classy looking. I really wanted to get a 12 inch Kicker solobaric(the square suckers) but there expensive and need lots of power

ive got me a Panasonic flashy deck... errr it has digital video display which seems to impress people lots lol. its a CQ-DF983 i believe.. rrp bout $900 but i got one for $500 so i was amped (excuse the poor pun) with that.
pioneer 6 inch TS-C 220W splits in the front
pioneer 6x9 TS-A 240W or somethin like that
kicker KX300.4 amp (powering something or other lol, dont recall)
pioneer 12 inch 800W sub

all up the setup cost me about $1950, but its worth somewhere around.... hmm... dunno really lol.. quite a lot more than i paid anyway. i am blessed with great bargaining skills also... well actually i just fooled them with an exaggeratedly good quote from somewhere else and told them to match it hahah (the amp in the original quote mysteriously doubled in power.. the 6x9s mysteriously went from panasonic to pioneer, and the TS-C went from 170W to 220W when i explained the specifics of it to the other guys)
got this set up in a FJ60 Landcruiser in pristine condition (when i bother to clean all the rubbish and other crap out of it) 20 year old car thats only done 120 000 K's is great

all up it sounds rather grand, particularly the sub which isnt muffled by being closed up in a boot, which means really no need for a second

ok in my tiny zuki, sony explode everything (crappy i know), 4 inch in the front 6x9 in the back. I overheard this lil kid the other day "it's like the fast and furious car with speakers all in the back" lol, kids are so great :p

In my Commodore i just had four 6inch Sony Xplode speakers 2 in front in pods and 2 in back, xplode head unit and 10stacker... the stacker cracked the shits about a week after warranty ran out so just replaced it all with blaupunkt stuff, seems to be doin the job

alpine v12 amp, high mother ****er thing, 5channel amp, with seperate sub out.
kicker 6.5" rear speakers.
MB Quart fornt 6.5" splits, these cost a fourtune and have excelent crisp sound, all crazzy expensive wiring.
mp3 wma headunit pioneer thing, very hand as alot of my songs are mp3s and i can fit hunders of songs to disc.

Figured I might as well throw up mine seeing as I'm bored again. It's pretty ghetto-ass really but oh well. 2x6.5"Xplod 3 ways in the front, 2x Zeus or something 6x9's in behind the back seat and a 12" 800W Xplod sub with a 1200W Boss amp on it. Haha in a 1982 Dual Cab Rodeo as well, ghetto I know. The damn sub and box are sitting in the middle of the back seat, unrestrained, so goddamn boned if I crash hahaha. Oh and a Panasonic head unit. Stupid vehicle is so tinny the whole thing rattles and vibrates just about everywhere. If anyone wants me to go take a pic of the ghey as setup let me know lol. In my expeience Kicker, Pioneer, JBL and Boss r quality products man, they ripp it up, not baggin any other brands cauz i havnt used them, but yeah, this is what me van is putting out...... 2 12" JBL subs, 2 Pioneer 6/9's , thats in the box i got behind the seat, (best set up) and 2 more 150W in the front doors and 2 tweeters( Both Pioneer), Now for the biggest hassle in history haha, 1st i got this amp, didnt look at it 4 long, just looked sick, so got it. L8ter on i showed it 2 my cusin who is a sound engineer....(ud think i would have consultd him 1st) but yehhh he basicly told me im a fruit loop, Bcauz any minute it wil blow the *** up, and ill have 2 fork out another $750 on amps lol, so i went out grabd a proper amp Boss 1500W amp, n that prety much covers evrything, And the head deck is pioneer, nice face on it, like a liquid pixell screen. 50W/4 channel...Ill tryn get a pic up of the van, itll blow some minds hahaha nar jks

i duno wat ive got but some one dumped a car in the park over the road about a year ago so one day i snapped this little bit off the middle of one of the speakers n i thought it was just like a clarion emblem badge thing, but then bout 2 months ago i realized it was a little speaker so i stripped the wires on these headphones i had that didnt work n e more n hooked it up to the clarion thing n stuk it on my bike. its realy quiet though so u can only just here it and even then its hard to no wat u r hearing, but yeah so wen im ridin i just put my diskman in a backpak n hook it up n away i go.

Well I finally got my sub put in my car. Originally I was gona make the box but because I wanted to stuff it in the corner of my boot to try and save space I decided a fibreglass box was the only way to go so I got one of the local audio shops to build one for me. I also ended up getting another amp to power my splits so it goes pretty hard. Anywho here are some before and after pics of the install.

You can see why I needed a fibreglass box to follow all those curves and wheel arch

Hey bro i got an Alpine 7892E player some alpine DD drive 6 an 1/2 inch in da doors and a 700w alpine mono block running 2 type S 12inch subs goes pretty well..........damn that guys a tool i agree Kicker are a sick brand up there with the best!
