Mark the seat where you want to cut it, dont go too much at once its eaiser to cut more foam out you cant put back, cut the bulk of foam with a sharp bread knife then smooth it with an angle grinder with a sanding disc on it.

How thick should I get it, or is that more of a personall preference?

Yeah its personal preferance about the size so your hand is a rough u shape when you grab you dont want it too thick but not too thin either.

depending on the bike like how close your sub frame is to the seat but i have my seat about 4cms thick so i can still go ride the tracks without getting a sore ass

K sounds good, another thing that i have been wondering about is triple clamps. I'v been thinkin about gettin RG3 but if i can get RG3 quality at a cheaper price that would be way better. so i guess wat i'm askin is is there an alternative to RG3??

you can get serco/gytr top clamps for about 250 theres nothing wrong with them i run one for ages.

Mark333

K i'll loko into those. wat about the bottom clamp the post and risers?? The same company?

Not sure if you can get Serco in Canada, I thought they were an Aussie company. And GYTR will only be useful if you own a Yamaha. I think, could be wrong.

Try Universal, haven't heard any bad things but I dunno what their prices are like especially over your way...

Mark333
7th March 2007, 01:54 PM
Yeah, Serco is only in Australia, and I have a CR250 so it wouldnt work; as for universal, there bars suck, They bend so easy. If there clamps are like there bars then i'm in for alot of money down the drain.

1madgerman
7th March 2007, 03:33 PM
Yeah gytr use the same company that serco does to make clamps there identical just different color, serco make them for all kinds of bikes. Yes serco is an australian brand you will have to order through a shop here in oz. as for bottom clamps i dont think them make them i dont know why you would bother to use them and bar raisers they should have.

hey man it clearly says on the add for the universal bars that they will replace them if they bend for free. Plus ive never bent a universal bar in my life

mark where you want to cut the seat,(one to two inches thick) then get an electric turkey knife and cut the seat down. don't cut too far down because the seat base isn't too soft.:hello:

Hate people that cut the plastics, no point, like pretty much none of the
pro's cut thiers down anymore and by cutting them, will probs just end
up costing you more money when you go to sell the bike or wat eva.
