Steering Stem Loose???

Is it normal for the lock nut in the steering stem to constantly become loose?? No matter how much I tighten it it allways comes loose again and rattles.

Apparently if I don't tighten it it'll wreck the bearings and wear the cup they fit in.

Is it just regular maintenance or is there a way I can make it stay tight??

use some locktight on it and it should be sweet have you changed your stem bearings lately as we've found some bearings aren't quite the right size...

When I baught a new frame they gave me bearings to fit it, so I'm pretty sure they're the right size.

Yeh make sure its tight because you will flare the stem and then the thing will feel like shit and wont stay tight properley. Little bit of lock tight and it should be all good.
