Told ya i was too busy, but i managed to whop up a super basic shell, just to give a general idea on how it would look. It is to scale:

5 meters Long
2 meters high
1.2 meters wide
8 meter constant transition.
50cm Spacing on side supports.

But it'll take more than 5min to do it properly, which i dont have time for at the moment.

cheers

No difference at all really, 3ft to every meter, 6ft = 2 meters basically, rounded out anyways.
Um, and yeah, i guess ya could jam the supports anywhere ya wanted really, it's just whenever i design ramps i usually shove em in every half a meter till I'm done with the layout, then maybe take a few out here and there, thats the thing with custom ramp plans, ya can pretty much make em anyways ya want, aslong as if ya usin less supports ya use decent sized metel to compensate. For most ramps i advise 40 x 40 x 2. :), which my more detailed plans show, i do it to scale down to steel and wall thickness, so it's pretty damn accurate

will this ramp give me a bit of height like pop or is it more distance if its more distance how could i make it more height

Well ya can change the length and hight as much as ya want, but in my opinion, it's the transition that makes the difference between height and length distance, the length and height of the ramp just contribute to how big ya wanna go, weather it be high or long.... if ya catch my drift.
If ya want, just keep the same length and height and adjust the curve till ya like the look of it soon as ya want a 6ft (2mtr) high ramp. Thats about as much advice i can give on the subject, cause when it comes down to it, it's your ramp, and you'll need to design it how you want it to throw ya. Every ramp is different :). I'm sure everyone else will have an opinion on this, so just be patient and play the waiting game for their replies i guess.

Mungoman - what program did you use to draw up that line drawing?

Ah, that was just a really shit, as you said, "line drawing", but i used AutoCAD to do it. When i do up proper 100% to scale ramp designs, i take into account everything from steel thickness and wall thickness if needed, face thickness and any transport "splitting" needs, the works...you may have seen some other of my plans floatin about around here I've done for other members, such as Shirefmx, RJ & Shifty,....

Nice, I should get my hands on autocad to draw up the ramp for me. Just use good old graphics board :P

Hehe, well i should warn you AutoCAD is rather similar to photoshop in these two departments:

1) it costs A LOT to buy, I'm takin $4000 + and
2) Just cause you have the program, does not mean ya can use it.

I have done 3 courses in CAD, and use to design houses, using it, so I know it inside out, (except 3D stuff), hence why i can whop up detailed 2D, "3D projected" designs. And when i say "whop up", i still mean, it takes a few hours, even when ya know what ya doin'. Just to give ya an idea on how complex it can be, you can draw a straight line in 4 different ways.....depending on what your design is and how you want it to look, or what your comfortable with.
Just some helpfull info ;)

does the job.

Hey,
Here's a pic of my 6 ft ramp, It's actually 6ft 2in, and 19 feet long. Works great, but I haven't tried it at more than a 35 ft gap yet, cause I don't have a good down ramp.
