As the New Year officially begins, many users are probably curious if any new changes will occur here at FmxAustralia.Com. Whilst I have had a few connections issues of late, I have spent a lot of time thinking of ways to improve the site. I have also gone back over some older suggestions from users and I have been composing a rather large To-Do list for the site.
Our main focus is to continue as "THE No.1" resource for freestyle riders by updating the main software packages the site runs on aswell as implementing alot of new features which will make it easier for both the users and moderators of the site.
We are also thinking of either removing post counts from everyone all together or implementing a user rating system where each user "rates" other users and the rating is shown instead of their post counts. We may leave post counts and just add the rating system, I am undecided on this. I am hoping just adding the user rating system will halt the "crap" flowing out of some users keyboards.
A new "style" or look (maybe 2 or 3) will also be implemented to the site after the upgrade although making it look pretty is low down on the To-Do list. Our main aim for now is to make it all work nice, have ease of use and lower the "crap" post levels.
We are currently testing a upgraded version of the site and are slowly trying to add all of the older features already added to this, the old site. This will take some time and we plan to roll out the new site along with these new features throughout Jan/Feb 2007 and possibly in stages. We will let you all know how we are progressing.
The site will be temporarily closed as we push out the first new features. We will try to keep this downtime to a minimum but please be patient if you come here and find the site closed. We will be back and the wait will be worth it. ;)
This will be a great way to start the new year, and we thank all the members for their support and patience whilst we implement our "grand plan".
