hey guys..

new to this forum but need some help, i got a 138cc oil cooled DHZ direct bike. a N1234 gearbox & a 30mm carb.. and it was advertised with a 26mm so i guess thats a bonus :) its got a 16 tooth front sprocket, and 41 rear.

my engine is making an odd ticking sorta noise.. ive checked the cam chain, is it supposed to have about 1mm slack ?

changing my sprockets to 17front and 37 rear would it make alot of difference?

i plan to get an inner rotor kit replaced for my forks because the forks are peice of shit, one leaked out all fork oil, the other the spring broke. So i bought a pair of adjustable forks off my mate, there USD off a atomic AX. The springs are alot stiffer then my current ones.

my mate got a pitpro 125 with a 26mm carb, with a 17front and 37rear sprocket and he goes quicker then me..

The manual that came with my bike was also stupid, it was for a 107cc, and doesnt help me alot. Would the air adjustment screw be different from a 26mm carb to a 30mm carb ? it was 2 turns out..

I also want to get a tacho to see if my bikes revving to its limits, how can i increase RPM, i plan to also get a rev booster ive heard kitako make the best ones, can somone tell me the diff between a chinese CDI one and a brand name one ?

Also would a hot plug make a difference ?

how do i run a higher coimpression ? oversize piston ?

cheerrs

My pitbike used to make a weird noise when i revved it hard and also when i let off the throttle after revving it hard and stupidly enough it turned out that part of the bash plate had bent up and was vibrating off the motor.

I doubt thats what your problem is since my bike has a super thin shitty bash plate but you never know.

As for a tacho.. lol save them for cars man.. no one runs a tacho on a pitbike.

The strange ticking noise will be your tappets tapping on the valves, check your valve clearences, should be about 4thou. inlet 6thou. exhaust
