Top end

hey guys, i havnt changed my piston or rings since 1 and half yeers ago. i ride like once every 2months and the bike still goes ok. it a cr125 98. should i rebiuld the top end? are there any main signs of needing new piston and rings?

once every 2 months!!! WTF? you live on some property and thats all you do? crazyness, anyway, it should be right like that but if you start to ride more, rebuild it. signs are power loss and piston slap(noises)

and the kick starter gets easyier to kick.

yeah, compression lost in the top end, you could do a compression test.

atleast change your rings.

you need a bore rebuild when you start getting oil leaking out of your exhaust or the joints in it.you loose power and it rev different

i know im gonna sound like a dik head but im new to 2strokes. yes i have the oil problem- wat is a bore rebuild and how much will it cost

not sure how much, but its not cheap. if is a chrome bore, maybe $1000. thats what i was told with one of my bikes. they have to give it another coat of nickel if u got a chrome bore.
