as "R2DFMX" was sayin, they are everywhere in canberra, and I mean everywhere, we use to pack dirt up against the walls though, so ya would get a smooth transition, and there was a smaller bridge than in ya pic, and just drop off it....I live in brissy now so I dont see em anymore...

they're good fun...

but if ya wanna ride drain canberra is the place to go...ppl always get drowned in em down there.....

yeh shifty, I dont know if there is many near your place, if ya still live in calwell..fidge st.....the closest ones for you are down near the shops....if ya go right, ya end up at theodore jumps, and if ya left ya go past richlands jumps, monash jumps...and about 10 other riding spots, until, as ya were sayin ya get to the other side of town.....

canberra is the place to be I recon if ya wanna ride...bmx or moto......but they had to knock down gilmore jumps a few years ago, cause one kid broke his back there.....stupid kid was trying shit way to big for him....

Yeah, Therodore jumps are kinda small. I usually go down to the Calwell shops then follow the drains there. Monash jumps are awsome. I also found some cool jumps near this Church building or something in Richardson.

Im not sure about canberra being the place to ride motos, there are hardly any places legally to ride. If you want illegal places, tharwa is awsome..Big 80ft step up there.

yeh therodore was pretty small, I have been told that monash are nocked down now, but I havd my fair share of good and bad times there....

as for the jumps outside of a church, it was a scout hall...shit I remember that place perfectly...yeh right behind it near a little patch of tree's and there was a littte paddock near ya and the drains down near ya right

Im not sure If i could tell you exactly were it is because i've only been there twice.

But there is a main riding place, where most of the people ride. And if you follow the road out of there you come to a big bend that kinda has a top road and a bottom road. Off to the right there is a big slope. There is a step down on one side and a stepup on the other side.

The stepup starts at the bottom of the hill and a mate an me were taking a huge run up and pretty much pinning it in each gear.

5th pinned ya made it over to the top of the hill and onto the flat. Was pretty sweet.

There are a few in the pine forrests next to the Manaro Highway. Over from richo. There are some shitty small ones in theodore. The best bet was Monash, but im not sure if they have taken those down.

yeh mate I got a report that the ones at monash were knocked down...But if ya are talkin about the Gilmore ones on the side of the highway, there was heaps, some big ones too, the counsil couldn't knock em down cause the were on private land, but a kid broke his neck there, and ppl tried to sue the owner...a few pro's use to ride there too....

yeh theres some at richo on the side of the drains, only small though, there was the richo bowl, pretty much every little suburb had there own little trails, and 1 out of every 5 were some big decent ones...

Canberra was the worst place for motos ever.. As for drain riding it ruled unless it rained and they flooded then you ended up in lake Burley Griffin or one of the regional likes like Ginniderra.. They put in some big drain filters before the lakes about 10 years ago so they find the bodies when someone went missing.. Like the one at Lake Tuggers and there is another in Belco near the bus interchange..
