May I just ask what the fuss is about gripper seat covers? I mean sure the racers will go on about them because it helps them, gripping the seat, but if your seat is shaved down it won't give much more grip anyway, and I really can't see why I would want grip for FMX. I personally think I'd prefer a slippery slidy one for double can tricks and stuff so if your foot goes a bit low on the way back it won't grip and get caught. If someone would care to explain why a gripper would be advantageous for Freestyle, it would be appreciated. I think I'll go with some vinyl from the shop and maybe do a custom seat when the time comes around...

well i dunno aout the advantages for freestlye, but i hve never slid at all on my gripper seat!!!! and i would not pass it up unless i had a very good reason

yeah, i dunno what the deal is with people always wanting gripper seat covers. mine's got a sdg gripper cover on it and i hate it, got caught up on it a fair few times, im just gunna buy some black vinyl and put on my seat. If ur cutting the seat for freestyle then you're probably better off to just get some vinyl and put that on it and not a gripper cover.
