Well ladies and gentlemen, it's here....I felt the recent onslaught of Photoshop related threads, not to mention the many previous threads to do with Photoshop and Editing bikes was too much of a demand, NOT to have a seperate forum for it...So welcome to your Photoshop haven here at fmxaus...have a Bike ya want edited?, having problems chopping that guard just right?, want to change colours or plastics, add graphics, or shave that seat?...well here's the place it'll happen. I will be moving the older and all the recent threads to do with photoshop into this forum over the next few days, so if you have asked a question or posted a thread elswhere about Editing and cant find it....look here, this is where it will be moved too :D

* General Chat
I checked all 987 Threads....
Out of those, i moved a total 36 Threads that were Photoshop related out of all the forums into this Forum. just for your pure availablility and convenience :)
And I'm spent. If you dont respect and appreciate the hard work and effort i put into keeping this place clean and running smooth....I will hunt you down, stalk you for a number of days and nights before pouncing when you least expect it and slicin your throat from 9 til' 3....oh hehe, am I thinking out loud again....deary me.....9 Til' 3!!!

Indeedy, well Photoshop, as I've said many times before, is a very expensive program if you were to purchase it outright. Thats why 3/4 of the people that have it, if not more, either download a ripped and cracked version from a P2P Program such as Kazaa, or get it burnt from someone that allready has a version. The latest version is 7. with an upgrade of "CS". However you will need a decent PC with some nice RAM and processor speed to run it smoothly while doing other things ya usually do while on the PC, such as running Messenger programs, music programs, internet explorer and so on and so forth.... So in short, get it off a friend that allready has it, or if ya got a decent net connection such as some sort of Broadband, go download it off Kazaa :).

Yes, I am a freak......uh hu..Mmmm...yes, i have square eyes, it's a delicate birth defect and I'll thank YOU not to stare...ok one more.....do i get paid?....although i'm only on this site at night, i do spend a atleast 8 hours per night, and sometimes up to 10 hrs on here doing many various duties, which is actually several hours MORE than a standard 9-5 job, so one would think i would be getting paid, but alas, the economy is a funny thing...so to answer your question, no i dont get paid....yet.....;)
Thankyou for all your questions, but i must go, for the campaign trail is a long and Arduous one.

what is the recommended photo size for fmxaus?
Mungoman45
26th June 2004, 06:58 PM
800 pixels wide is the norm. anything bigger myself or Steve will usually resize, however if we need to resize, we do it down to 640.

instead of makin another photoshop thread i'll just post in here, i just got photoshop cs and i wouldnt know where to start, i have tried fiddling around with so many of those little tools and none of the little sucker's will do what i want it to, i just want to know how to edit bikes really and maybe draw up some plans, why the hell cant i do it? lol, i've read the help and its shit anyone got any tips??
Mungoman45
25th July 2004, 03:48 PM
well for starters...Photoshop is no good for plans. (I ASSume you mean ramp plans). it is not a CAD program, it is a sophisticated digital design business program, and you cant expect to be able to use it straight off the bat. I've made this analogy many a time, but "just because you buy a bike doesn't mean you know how to ride." you cant expect to be able to ride without instructions and learning, same goes for Photoshop, or anything worthwhile in life.
I wont even bother gettin into any editing stuff, as i would be here all day, and possibly all week as the question of "how do i edit a bike" is a VERY broad question.
Kids....you need to realise, as i just said, it's a very sohpisticated complex BIG program, and wasn't designed to simply cater for kiddies to play around with their bikes. if it was, it would be a shitload easier and a much smaller program.
All i can say is, as you've allready started to do, keep playing...how many hours have you "played" before crackin the shits and posting here?...not many i would ASSume....many many MANY hours must be spent learning what each tool does, and what each effect has on another. As the famous saying goes "it wont happen overnight, but it will happen".
Also if you find the stock help file shithouse, go check the net for tutorials, I'm sure there would be many many sites with them on it.

PMSL, cheers brad, i'll keep doin that then, i thought there'd just be a few simple steps to editing a bike but oh well.
Mungoman45
25th July 2004, 05:10 PM
hehe, well...they're simple once ya know what ya doin and get the basics down...then cause most kids are so happy they've figured out how to do something, they do it over and over and over again on many many bikes, and that my friend is what ya call practise and hours spent doing it ;). as i said, it wont happen over night, but it will happen. and i shall take a line from American Pie 2 and impart this knowledge "Keep your chin up, keep pluggin' and good things will happen

What version of photoshop Lars... Only Photoshop CS2 can open em I think. Which is version 9. I have 7, and looked for hours for plugins to open em but I don't think one exists. So if ya wanna do it you'll have to score CS2.

there will be an option for a 30 day trial when that screen pops up asking for a serial number. once that is done you can download a keygen for it and crack the serial code

Got a copy of CorelDRAW of a mate, is it any good for doing chops and edits of bikes?
Thanks
onezerozero
24th March 2009, 01:05 PM
CorelDraw is more of an Illustrating program that graphic designers/signwriters use. More signwriters seem to use it. Its a vector based program for clean logos and designs for print.....Photoshop is the go for car/bike chops.
