wat do u reckon my bikes worth?

it seams like eveyone here is into bmx but ill ask anyway. how much do u reckon i could sell this for:?
its a 2003 Specialized Bighit. everything is standard. its got a few scrathces otherwise its as new. i bought it for $1,500 but it was on sale, otherwise it wud have cost $2000.
the older boys said they would take my lunch money if i dont sell it for more than $1,300. so u guys reckon that possible?

i would take a good jumping bike over a bmx any day, bighits are a sweet bike for thier price, some konas are good too. but i think you could get aound 1300-1400 for, it depends on who is buying it too, better to sell it to someone who dosent know what their doing so you can get a higher price.

what bike are you getting next?

Yeah, I agree as well but if you get someone who doesn't really know what they're on about and talk it up a fair bit you could get $1500, but its gay when people to that to you so, have a go I guess

i wanted to get a 2004 specialized bighit spec cause for the same price of the one ive got now u upgrade to hydraulic discs, better rear shock (fox shock) and a down hill crank.

yeh wud feel bad riping people off but it is worth 2g's so i cud say im being generous by taking $500 off.

All So Ring a few other Shops Ask what is there going price on a new on of the Floor.. If there still 2000 $ Easy as U will get 1500... if there like 1500 $ of the floor you will have to take like about 1300... $ ... cOOL.. Here is my Bikes I sold my KHS and soon Im selling my P3... :D My mate wants to buy it.. lol

well that was like a year ago that i started this thread. ive still got the bike btw. i was thinking of selling it because i was going to upgrade to the newer model but then i was offered a $800 back shock for $230, and once i put that on it ive never thought of selling it again.

i work in a bikeshop selling specialized, the bighit is nice yes, the 03 build is quality, i have no probs with the bike, & from my opinion, yes you could make $1200-1300ish depending on how u sell it.

i have one issue, those forks. we sold about 10 of the 03 big hits just like yours, 8 have come back with their forks, well, in more bits than one. ppl know about the quality of the forks, (its just like the issue rockshox had with their psylo, ppl using them for the wrong reason) i know you want to just get rid of the bike, so i'll say that, be prepared to be quieried severly about the quality of the forks & what riding you have done. best thing 2 do, just be prepared, advertise on www.farkin.net, or www.mtbdirt.com.au & go from there & good luck mate.
