Well tomorrow morning im going to try my new jump. My mate is going to be videoing it all so i will post some pics or something. I was just wondering if there was something i should do to my bike to make it more likely for me to survive!! what i mean is like suspension settings or anything.. I have my suspension set up like how sturto says in FREERIDER in issue 20.

dude, stop worrying too much.
The best way to crash is if ya worry too much.
Gotta tough it out and just hit the jump.
I dont really bother bout suspension.
I might adjust the compression and rebound every now and again but thats it.
I just suggest not to stress and just hit it with confidence.

itd be best not to adjust what youre used to if youre gonan hit something new.
if its big, just make the compression a bit harder on the forks and shock, but DONT touch the rebound settings...

i find that if you're confident you can land a certain jump you will make it ... it's a mental thing. Why not practise on some other jumps that you are familiar with and when you feel ready go for it, don't rush it.

just back yourself in if theres someone else that is jumping it watch them then follow them in to get the speed first time on a new jump is always scary but after you do it once youll think what the was i doing being so scared it was easy and like karnage said it all in your head

well i did my jump, it was ****ing scary while i was doing some practise run up, and my mate was there with the video camera to pump me along. it was quite simple, he just said "the worst that can happen is you will hit that soft dirt on the front" and i was like "yeah, good point". So i tried to get up some good speed (out of the burm) and hit the jump. and sorta landed, well i came down a little short on the back tyre pretty hard and bounced a bit and went over the handle bars. BUT IT IS ALL GOOD, bike is fine and so am i,
i have decided to change the lip of the kicker a bit to not shoot me up so much, and i will try it again when i have some fuel..... and i will also have to get rid of the burm of something, coz it sucks

use the dirt from the burm on the jump.
