Planet X and Wonderland Sydney will host the biggest freestyle moto x event on the dirt bike calendar for 2004, with the “Tip Top Up King of FMX” set to take place over four days from 8 – 11 January.
See Australia’s best freestyle riders battle it out for a $30,000 prize pool, the biggest prize money ever offered at a Planet X event. Some of the famed Aussie names competing include Matt Schubring, Luke Urek, and Robbie Maddison - a favourite for the event as he has just nailed the back flip!
Waving the flag for America will be 25 year old Chuck Carothers from California. Famous for his riding in the Pink video “Feel Good Time” and entry into the X-Games in both America and Asia, this Yankee flyer is sure to shake up the action.
The event is strictly invitational with only 20 riders from around the world gaining entry to compete.
Day 1 & 2: Thursday 8 January and Friday 9 January, 2004 – 11am to 3pm
- Practice sessions get underway with competitors pulling off awesome freestyle antics.
Day 3: Saturday 10 January, 2004 – 12 noon to 4pm
- Opening round of competition with heats in freestyle and big air plus a crazy fast 50 demo run.
Day 4: Sunday 11 January, 2004 – 11am to 5pm
- The grand finale and the big bucks prize money is all up for grabs when the “Tip Top Up King of FMX” will be crowned. Spectators will also be entertained with more fast 50 fun runs, the latest bike craze on the market.
Tickets to the “Tip Top Up King of FMX” are included in Wonderland Sydney’s general admission costs of $49.95 per adult and $33 per child. Gates open at 10am to 5pm daily and 10am to 10pm on Saturdays. Wonderland Sydney is a 40-minute drive down the M4 from the CBD, with plenty of free car parking.
