I cant remember the name of the proper actual "chain lube" I used to use, cause ever since i found close to 20 spray cans of liquid grease on the top floor of the shed, I've been usin it. Does exactly the same job as chain lube :D

There's some new shit that really doesn't fling, i'll find out what it is. It's like $23 a can but you use less and it's so much easier to clean the bike, I mean it doesn't fling off everywhere at all..

i just use old gearbox oil aswell, when you change the oil, just throw em in an oil can and bobs your uncle. i guess your still stuck with the problem of flicking oil everywhere and, sand & dirt sticking to the chain, though if you put it on regularly it seems to solve that problem

in my many year$ of $earching, i have come to the concluion that bel-ray and motul would have to be the be$t chain lube$ on the market, both hold onto the chain very well and don't flik all over the place, and they don't attract $and or nythin either, good $tuff

i use truck wash to clean the chain, then i spray my bikes with wd-40 to prevent rust and the dirt sticks to it and it comes off real easy, and then i also spray my chain with wd-40.
wd-40 washes the water off a surface, and the water just drips off. then before i go for a ride i spray it with chain lube. (belray as already mentioned)

get an old dishwashing brush and use some degreser and wash the old lube and crude out then spray it clean after that lube with a water dispersent{sp} spray then before riding lube chain

Personaly I don't think the real big name lubs work good at all, they dry out really fast and they attract a lot of dirt (previous expirence from go-karts:p ) on my bike now I use a standard bar oil in I squart can. Try it?

Same here, TAC2 is the best chain lube i've used. It's more of a grease than an oil but it still works great!

I havent really done mine for a while but i need a new chain, but i dont really think it matters that much what yo use and to help with all the splater problems why do you care its a DIRT bike, but if you do you could what my dad and my uncles used to do on their road bikes. after you put on tons of lube and i mean allot just run it for a minute and then hold the back tire up some how(a stand) and put in firts and let the idol spin the tire and kinda hold a paper towl on the cain and then whip where the little of splatter went while its still wet. make its a paper towl and watch your fingers my unlce lost part of his thump from a rag gettin caught in the sproket
