Hey fiddy freaks :)... i own a killer lil crf50 and was just wondering whats the best way to get a bit more out of 2nd gear?? i want to keep it a 50cc cause that keeps it fun and i'd rather not mess with the gearing too much cause i'll lose all my top speed...
The problem is that 1st just rev's out too quick but 2nd just doesn't quite pull hard enough and it starts to die so u have to drop it back down to 1st... So any tips from u boys who are in the know about all things mini give me u'r tips on what would be the best and cheapest way to get a bit more out of the lil red rocket :D...
Luv Joel.

stockers are just slow man....You cant really do much to em.maybe a Fast50s pipe and diff gearing will help.

id say gearing even though you didnt want to change em id prolly add one tooth on it for bottom end and then as the other guyt said a fast 50s pipe for the top end therefore not losing power at the top but gaining it

Haha yeah but don't u worry i've pulled every honda sticker off it, i even managed to get the honda print off the seat with a lil brake cleaner hehehe :D...
Hey Lars how do i check that shit?? dam 4 strokes haha :p
Hmm click_click u put foward an interesting theory, change th gearing put then add power to compensate... hmmm might just work... what would make more diference and be cheap, biger carby or pipe or both???
luv Joel.

Um its hard to explain u need it in top dead centre with both valves off the cam and they should both float. LOL

my guess would be gearing but i dont know weather to go up a tooth or down a tooth cause ive heard of both from different people lol

dude change ur gearing go 1 tooth down on the front or go up 3 on the rear. and a cheap power increase for a stocker is put a crf70 stock carb on it. they go heaps better.

that sounds interesting... crf70 carby. i wouldnt mind some bottom end ay how much would i be lookin at for the 70 carb. and its deffinetly a bigger back sproket for more bottom end?

More teeth on the rear means more turns on the front to get the same speed thus it'll slow you down a tad but give you more guts out of the stock engine.

so ill lose over all speed but get a bit more power... making i easier to do wheelies and shit... more "grunt"?
this shit temds to confuse me sooo much

Yes if you go bigger on the back...You get more "pull" of the bottom, and you lose some top speed. But if you go bigger on the front you get more top speed.

raising the needle (lowering the clip) in carby. It works magic and I recommend it to anyone that has a fiddie, did it 2 mine and made a massive improvement. check valve clearances, .002" m8.
