Qld RIde day

Ok people from the smart state i see these viccos are having a rdie day so why not have a qld ride day this holidays i have no compound so anyone got anyplaces to ride and where or is there a fmx park in qld for us to hook up and ride so people who are intrested post back here

There's a ride day at Black Duck Valley this weekend (December 5/6 i think) I was told about it along time ago, but forgot about it, and now have other plans (D'OH!!)

Wat are these dunes like near Gladstone? u know exact location?

im up for it, as long as its not to far north. down my way there is only a few okish places to ride. not that many big jumps really.there is a 90ft tabletop its sic.and there isnt any ramps here at all.

why don't you get in touch with the fmx kaos guys and see if they'll let you ride their compound and have a barbie/party into the night and camp there, i don;t know them but their compound looks good and i'm sure if everyone agreed to pay a little bit they could make a bit of biscuit from it .... just a thought ...

hmm shire, not a bad thought, i know ray wouldn't mind the dosh, dont know bout the campin tho cos it's not really "his" compound, he's kinda "rented" it off this fella, but not a bad thought, i been meaning to ask him for a while, if i find anything out, it'll be posted here. Matt reckon u could make the trek down?

black duck has like 5 motox tracks and there is a 120ft table top so if you are into going big then black duck is the go ive been there befopre on my last holidays down there it was a awesome place

Black Duck has 6 mx tracks. An enduro loop. fitty track and ATV tracks. It is also got lots of 4wd tracks. It is really named Black Duck 4wd park. But now i think the name has adopted the motorcycle park too. It has a 100ft and a 125ft table tops. I was meant to be going to the big weekend on 5th and 6th but i think it is cancelled. Unless the weather is fine tomora, fingers crossed.

when i went to black duck is was the biggest crap hole ever...

the track was totally hard pack, with heaps of rocks and had no decent jumps...

obviously it has been upgraded since but i would want to see some pics before i drive to the middle of the no where...

its like hick vill you got to admit... one fella i know loves it but for me it seems like ages to drive and all... like the last time i rode there i was toally bumed about tha hole day in a big way...

all im saying is i want to know for sure im going to be keen to ride the place...

ok thats all the ones i got. it looks to be a pretty good place. on the web site it says that they got 3 mx tracks, 1 freestyle track and a flat track a few pee wee tracks. they got camping areas. sounds like i could be the best place for this ride. possibly make it saturday stay there sat nite have a few drinks or alot and ride sunday. its $15 entry for bikes i think could be wrong but and $5 to camp. the website is www.blackduckvalley.com

yer i have heard you have like a huge run up... but that was from a team rider... i think the jump is more like 100foot. still huge but.

the track looks nice but the surface is crap... like its all hard park and not rutted or whoped which feals funny for a track.

so would this black duck place be worth havin a QLD ride day at??? big tabletops are awsome, i love em!! do u have to hit there big tabletop like top gear or sumthing? cuz the my friend has a 100fter n u gota hit it absolutely 3rd flat n u just make it or 4th n make it easy. but u dont really have enough run up to hit it 4th gear.

Looks like fun, ill go, was planning on riding there sometime soon anyways. So when would everyone want to go? Prolly a good idea to set a date with a few weeks notice so everyone could get organised.

I'd be keen to come along and watch depending wether ive got a bike and if the Dr even hints i can ride..
redbull_fmx i do a fair few trips between monto and briz so could probably give you n ur bike a lift in the ute if ya's work out a ride day.
