my mates crf has alot of play in the front forks and we think it needs new bushings,is that all it would be the plastic bits?
where do we get new ones from and anyone know of a price

its in the botom of the forks not the top.

put some thicker fork oil in, that will fix it.

stripes or craked bolts in the top of the forks the bolts that hold the springs in wen they go it all jiggles

Just order a new set of bushings from like oz50 or any other good 50 shop.
They are only like $45.

hey mate get a set of derlin bushings from oz50.com.au there 40 buks.... my fiddy was the same had heeps of play then i relised that i had snaped 1 spring in half and the other into 3 peices haha oops:P

yeh mine are the same as that, whever i hit a big bump or do a steep jump they make a real bad clunk sound and my springs are rattling... maybe i f*ckd em when i put them in cause i no so much about 50 maintanence :P

yep I agree with the others...u need to replace the stock plastic bushings.
get the delrin bushings...oz50 has them for $40 - thats the cheapest ive seen so far..

my forks were heaps sloppy then i bought some new bushings and the problem was goooone! little to no play at all:)

yeh thats probably what i need... do you still need to bash that little pin through on those ones cause thats a bastard of a job i reacon haha. did it make a real loud clunk when u hit a jump or a big root or something or do you think maybe i need some thiker oil in my forks?

yeh i think u still need to do the pin banging thing...cos theres no other way the bushing can slide off.....but like im not 100% sure..cos i got a whole new fork leg kit with the springs, bushings, fork legs so i had to take the whole thing apart
i wouldnt know about the loud clunk or anything to do with the fork oil tho cos i dont jump lol! but my forks were heaps sloppy when i got the bike...moving around everywhere lol. but now they're perfecttt and i didnt touch the oil :cop:
