Let me explain a few things for ya, might help... ;)
Phone batteries after a while of being used and then charged when not completly flat the devolop what some call "memory"..
This happens in almost all rechargeable dry type batteries (Ni-Cad I think is the name). Its not really "memory" as such, iit means the whilst it is fully charged the phone may still think its flat and shut down. The battery is telling the phone its flat when its not, kind of a memory if that makes sense.
It is a far as a know just because the battery cells are not producing as much current or some shit, not really memory.
Simple way to stop this though, is flaten your phone 100% before you charge it... Some newer phones/chargers do this themselves aswell now.
As for the freezer trick, I dunno why it works but it does sometimes... If it works it should give you maybe 2 -3 months more life out the battery. 6 months if your lucky... This also works for any other DRY type rechargable that has died...
Oh yer, You don't loose phone numbers or anything else and only place the battery in the freezer though... ;)
Hope this helps

yeh see i told u a freezer could work.
if you want to fullly flatten the battery you can connect a small torch light globe to it.

thanks insane, that cleared it all up. I'm gonna go throw my battery in the freezer now, im tired of it cutting out even after a 15min phone call, and of it goin flat after as little as 2-3 days even when its not doin anything.
