hi, i got a small crack in my front rim, is it reallly urgent to get it fixed or can it wait?, its only bout 2 cm long and on the wall of it.

i would get it checked urgently mate, sometimes its cracked under the top layer and u would never know, so get it fixed otherwise it could cost u alot more in the long run, sorry to hear that tho

as far as i know you can't fix a broken rim, let us know if there is a way. I've been through the dramas, keep an eye on the spokes EVERYTIME you ride, check and adjust. Replacement rims are around $300 fitted, front slightly cheaper.

ahhhhh $300, this place neer me called melton steel think they can tig weld it. i hope they can fix it.

is that $300 for a stock silver D.I.D rim or is it exel or something

well i get it welded and i got a new massive buckel, the rim is fu*ked.
anybody selling a second hand rim?
its $420 for a standerd original kx125 rim.
$280 for an excel rim.
and i think the guy said it was $1600 for a new front wheel but i dont think thats right.
oh well. ill put up a photo of it soon.
the moral of the story is DONT WELD CRACKED RIMS.
oh yeh and it cost me $50 for the guy to buckel it.

what sort of rim is it? the kawasaki "U" rim? coz both me and my brother have got cracked rear rims on our kawi 125's, and were plannin on gettin em welded up very soon.

i think its a u rim, does that mean it has a u shape along the center where the spokes go?

yeah, go excel, way stronger, and cheaper.
my friend also cracked his rim on his kx125.
is this a kwakka thing?

i absolutly flog him on my 85. spose, i'm a b-grade level racer, and he is a softy.

haha, have you raced lewi woods, he is no1 in aus on a 85. im pretty shure he is anyway.
he is on the honda factory race team

on the subject of cracked rims, i did my back wheel on the weekend, i didnt stack or anything, and stumped how i did it, but my brother rekons that cauze we got it straightend a few weeks ago it made it weak, but ohwell, i dont want it welded it sounds scetchy as, how much $ for a new black excel back rim do youz rekon, i went on their site but to hard to understand, they got stupid codes n stuf,

my mate cracked both rims on his kx125. it is like a 95 model, he is a pretty crrap rider so it couldnt have been through ********ness

lol ok thanx man, i took it to my loco shop an they said like 270 and theyll take the spokes n stuff out, and fit it, so its all good
