CRF 450x

Hey guys and gals, hows everyone?
well, doin the good deed and tryin to help out my bro. He's looking at getting a new 06 CRF450x and was wondering some stuff about them. so If anyone on here has one, knows someone with one or a mechanic that know a bit about them please give us a yell.
Some stuff he wants to know: Good & Bad things about them, what they are like to maintain like do they have much trouble with valves etc, and whether bigger stators can be fitted to them for bigger headlights etc. and anything else that you may know like ergos. well thanks for your time. peace. :Z33:

I work with them quite a bit at work and this is the good and bads ive come across

Good: Very quick, good handling more than suitable for the bush or road

Bad: Have to take the subframe off to get to the carby, Take the baffle out of it straight away otherwise the bike will be majorly underpowered

ok thanks heaps mate, if youve got any more please let us know. I also heard that their pretty high maintence?? for a 4 stroke bike but I guess thats pretty common.

Yer dude there pretty high matnience just alot of small things go wrong, a guy who bought one laided it over on the dirt and the gear lever went through the side case so i dont know if it was just weak parts on the bike or what but personally id go a wrf450 feel alot more comfortable and are easier to work on
