Yeh i agree with you Pedz1. It would be nice and all to be sponsored but it would be better if you made it to the top all by yourself.

i think it is a good idea, as it is hard to get sponsered, unless u get off ur arse and go to a shop or do demo with some exposure, when i get better, i might look into it, if they do it in australia.

You guys who don't agree, did you actually go to the site and read what it says? I went there ages ago so it may have changed, but from my understanding you don't pay to get sponsored. That defeats the whole purpose. What you do is pay the sponsor house, and they help you make up a nice resume which they then send out to the companies you choose, presumably with themselves as a reference of some sort. Being a well-respected organization, the companies I assume would hold these applicants in high regard and they would therefore have a higher chance of gaining sponsorship. And that's the way that system works. Sure you can make your own resume and send it out yourself as well, that's how many people do it. All this place is doing is removing some of the work for you, at a cost, just like all things. Not sure if they do Australia but in theory if they got their money and you were able to communicate with them easily there shouldn't be any problem. Hope I've cleared some things up for you guys.

yeah, i think that it is a great idea, i was on there for an hour looking at the profiles, and some of them have really good sponsers. even for d grade begginers, sponsers like 661, vortex, castrol, fmf racing and stuff like that,

Ohh so you don't pay for sponsorship you make a resume and they send it off to the companies. Thats a mad idea. Do you know if they do it Aus?

pfft sponsorship is nothing. everyone is all excited about sponsorship, but if you just ride for fun and progress normally it will come to you, you dont pay $50US for a resume, if you want it bad enough, you make a resume yourself and send it to select companies, its a hell of a lot cheaper. i dont see why everyone wants sponsorship so much?? all you'll get is clothing etc... as if you are good enough to get paid you would not be considering sponsorhouse. just chill guys, im not trying to be a tool, but just saying dont waste your money and ride your bike. good things come to those who wait.

sponsor house is basically a mass manegment company all they do is help riders line up sponsors thats all its a very good idea. you say yeah cool ride for fun or what ever yes you should but think about it in america were motocross racing is so bitg and there is thouands of riders trying to get a piece of the action so save them some money because thats what sponsorship is in the start basically free product wich saves you money and then you progress form there. this company gives the riders that use it an advantage over joe blogs who makes up his own resume. say for instance rider A makes his own resume and sends it to a company the company goes who is that?? another wanting free product NEXT. with sponsor house rider B's resume comes from a reputable company that has a relation ship withthe potential sponsor there for increasing the chances of rider B being picked up by the company.

From what I have heard, the sponsor house can be good and bad. There are so many good riders out there that there arent many companies that are gonna sponsor riders who arent getting results. You may get sponsorship deals through some of the companies, but the deals are no different to what your local bike shop gonna give you in discount anyway. I picked up sponsorship through my local bike shop. Im a chick, and Im not the best, but I support the shop, they support me and in return I send people to them for bikes etc they give me gear and race support.
So put your face in at your shop, hang around and talk to them and show them what you can do on the track, in the air or whereever

Some of that is full on true man!!
Sponsorship is nothin really, few free products here and there etc,,sure its great saves a few $$ for other stuff, but it doesnt make you a better rider nor does it make you cool!!

even if they give you clothes. sweet as, saves you money and you can spend it on your racing or fmx career. with the money you save, you can be a better rider. join a riding school or something, spend the cash on the suspension so you can ride more comfortable, which means you can ride faster.

You kind of have to be riding good events to get some money and merchandise flowing, you cant just ride on a evry now and then basis and expect to get a good deal, you need to expose you particular sponser for them to hand over the goods, and riding talent doesnt go down bad either haha, Take the moss twins, i go to school with their sister, and she said they missed out on 3 terms of school cauz of travelling n stuff, so its full-time stuff to get a Wiked deal, n they started off small sponsers like local bike shop and progresed from there, I dont know how some1 could get a big time sponser like MR2, or Maxxis, straight off the bat...
