id say if you're really serious about getting a job in the industry stick with school. Unless u can get an apprenticeship to become a mechanic. But other than that i reckon ud be much better off stayin in school and even getting a degree from uni, do a tafe course or something like that. Theres too many options to list for things u can do, but if u really want to go far, stick with school.

Id' like to second that motion Yobbo........In this day and age, you'd be silly not to stick with school and push it out through to yr 12. Remember that school never used to go to Yr12, it used to finish at 10........So now that we have the oportunity for another 2 years, which will actually help you in the long run, with certificates and "further education"...you'd be silly to pass it up. However, If as Yobbo stated, you can line up an apprenticship of some kind, then atleast you have a good start in the industry you choose. Otherwise, stay in school :D

Baaaaack to school, Baaaaaaaack to school, to prove to my dad that I'm not a fool. Got my lunch packed up, my shoes tied tight, Hope i don't get IN A FIIIIIIIGHT~Adam Sandler. "Billy Maddison"

Lol, i dunno, thought it was relevant :p

(edit: There ya go Gumby, just for you :p)

I'm with all the other oldies here, lol kiddin guys, stay in school, it's not worth leaving only to have to do some shitty job your gonna hate in the end. Even if ya hate school its worth gettin thru to yr 12, even if ya just scrape thru like I did, and hey I'm in the last bits of a degree and I absolutely dispised school! Stick with it dude, not many places take you on just yr 10 anymore.

Good Luck

Dead right, If this was 1981 you would get away with it, but you really need qualifacations these days, so stick with it.

just call up and get heaps of info before u jump out...i was stuck after i got the boot, but i had alot of ppl to help, now im doin a good tafe corse and have a really good job!

i would go onto 12 without a doubt. you say you cant pass those subjects but do you really "work". im sitting here with an exam that prityy much determines if i pass the subject at uni tomorrow, know very well if i attended the classes, dident muck around and came home and did some extra work, i could laugh at the whole thing. you have to realise even though your young you still have to work hard. but if you do work hard them maybe tafe if the option. go see the school carears adviser.

if u live in the middle of nowhere, then u cant have too many options if you do decide to leave school. If yur school is operating under this ancient system or whatever it is, how are all the other students coping with it?

redbull_fmx
19th October 2003, 10:55 PM
other people cope with it because they are used to it and most epople fail anyway there is only a small group of epople that pass

Mungoman45

Well, I've read what you have been posting since i said my piece..........and it seems you want to leave school because you cant pass anything...........If your not passing in school.......how do you think your gunna go putting what you learn in school, into practice in the work force.? I say stick with school and put in the hard yards. You cant expect to cruize through school, let alone life and get A's without puttin in some sort of effort. sounds to me your last school was kinda leaniant on the marking system and now that you actually have to do some work to get the marks you're used to your havin' a little winge and wanna throw it all in. I still say, stick with it, and put in the hard yards, cause in the end........it's makes the world of difference. those two numbers employers see when looking at resume's "10" or "12" will make or break ya, let alone a "pass" or "fail" writtin in there......

I agree with the sensible people in here. Stay in school. I'm starting the HSC tomorrow and yeah, it sucks, but stay on anyway just to keep the rest of your life open... I know I've been looking back at the fun I had through school, not coz I liked it but coz when we were younger we could just stuff around and it didn't matter. 3 weeks and I'm done, finished, outta there, movin on to something where I get money to do work lol. Keep going as long as you can dude, you never know, an apprenticeship might open up part way through Year11 or something and you can take that... But until just keep trying. School's don't use pass or fail anymore anyway... It just gets scaled according to how the others do and ya get ranked. I think it will help you no end to have a piece of paper saying HSC in a few years when you go for a job.

NONE, journalism, photography, anything mag wise u need at least yr 12 english, if u seriously hate ur school come back to mighty rosewood, somehow, if not try for a mechanic apprenticeship, I'm pretty sure there aren't that many loop holes that will get u into the mx industry on only grd 10. Seriously look at doin yr 11 and 12 at tafe, least that'll give ya some freedom, but u will need to study!

Pedz1
20th October 2003, 08:13 PM
stay in, once u leave u will wanna go back and do it, may aswell get it done the first time round!
i doubt you'll get any thing in the fmx industry, youd be lucky if you did!
looking into basic mechanics etc, on cars at first and u can work your way up, coz wen u leave and ure on ure own u dont choose wat u do..prety much take wat u get...so if its cars and not bikes...take it...will lead to better things......and im not saying you cant choose, but its alot harder wen your younger...only have your year 10, and no proper experience or anything!

but id say stay....get it over n dun with!

dude stay in school if ya wanna b cool haha nar but seriosly if u dont wanna b at your school go to tafe its much easier laid back atmosphere but i warn u if u are one of those kids that like 2 run amuk in class they wont have it at tafe its a serious evironment and another reason 2 stay in school is cuz u cant get the dole if u cant find a job they are really strict these days and im pretty sure alot of people will be reluctant to take on trainees that havent finished year 12
but what ever u choose 2 do good luck and i hope u get what u want:D
AND DUDE! change ur avatar that carnage is making me ill:spew:
