well as you can see, when i use my kick start, it runs down on my frame, causing the frame to wear away. WHAT CAN I DO?? has anyone seen this before.

hay robson that dont happen on my bike, try loosing the bolt and sliding it forward and then tightening it and it should miss it

Hello robson, would I be correct in assuming that bike is a 2000 CR250? I have one and it did that exact same thing, before I owned it though by the looks of it. I don't think it does it anymore, what you do is grind a little bit of the curve away on the kickstarter where it's rubbing the frame, mine has had it done and I'm pretty sure it doesn't hit any more. Doesn't compromise strength so just trim it back until it doesn't hit anymore and you should be fine. Let me know how you get on.

instead of grinding it and ***ing the frame by accident, just leave it and straching the frame until it wears to a spot were it dosent hit anymore

thismorning i took the patrs off and had a look, i put a washer inbetween the parts and it seem not to touch any more. If it wears away again, i am going to get somebody to weld some alloy onto the kick start, and this should fix the problem completely.

sorry if the pic is huge, i am having heaps of problems with my computer.

kyle I'm not sure you get what I mean. You can't stuff the frame by grinding off a tiny piece off the kickstarter. It will cause more damage to leave the thing there as you suggested. I have included a pic this time to show exactly what I mean. That washer idea might work, but I'd be worried about how wobbly the kickstarter would be with something like that on there. And welding alloy on there is just way too much work for such a simple fix. Sorry if I sound vigilant it's just that I've done it before and know it to work if you know what I mean. Later.
