hey guys my mate has a 125cc pittie and its really hard to find nuetral, and changing gears is pretty stiff,is it just in need of a gearbox oil change or would this indicate something serious in the box,im considering buying it off him but dont know wether to get it if this is a problem

Change the gear box oil and see what happens, if it keeps playing up then might be worth getting it looked at

How old is it ? if it's not that old just change the oil and keep riding, it will get better.
If it's already well and truely run it, then you can make adjustments if you have the right tools. basicly, to stop these bikes getting false neutral's all the time, they change the shift star so that neutral is just a tiny indent. If you take the shift star off all you need to do is grind the neutral groove a bit deeper.(bugger all).

Like gutty said the shift star is one thing and ive noticed there is a 8mm bolt bellow the shift lever that seems to adjust the tension on the lever might just be a case of backing it off a tad.
