how long is a stock CRF50 rear shock- from hole centre at one end to hole center at the other end???
AND
how long is a stock THUMPSTAR rear shock- from hole centre at one end to hole center at the other end???
I just wanna know how much travel distance there is between the two...
Someone help, Thanks.

crf travel is 2.8in (70mm) dunno bout thumpstar

The rear shock on a CRF is 260mm hole to hole center and the thumpys are 275mm center to center

yup yup, mininal difference in length im running a 260mm on my thumpy at the moment tho. Lent my stock rebuilt shockie to a mate.

still, i'll gain more than 15mm of travel because travel is the distance at the wheel...
it gets increased by the swing arm length...
i got a stock thumpy shock for $80 new, to go in my crf50...
better than getting a heavy spring because its longer and costs the same...
let ya's know how it goes...

Screw it.... doesnt fit.. hits the sub frame on each side.
gonna get an Ishock... is the standard one good?
Whats so much better about the one with a resivior (spelling?) ???

the one with the resivour (sp???????) just keeps the "feel" of the shock for longer

i'm gettin a standard ishock and a set of Applied fork springs put in...
and new fork bushes too...

ishock with resivoir is only $291 on fmxaus shop.
