I have a RM125 2000 model sitting in my garage, and it has only just been rejetted and it is already running WAY too rich again, i have checked the Reeds and they are brand new carbon fibre's, and its fouling up alot of spark plugs, i have it running at 40:1 but its still bogging down cuz its getting to much oil, any ideas on what Jetting settings i should change it to, or does anyone know of problems with the 2000 carby's?? i would really like to fix this so my mate can get his bike back and go riding with me, so im asking for any advice anyone might have, because we really need it, since the mechanic's cant fix it!!!

try searching on the internet, on the 2000 RM125 test and usually they have the right jetting for them

Mechanics can't fix it... Now you know we live in a slack society!! Lazy sods. Yeah I'd recommend a leaner mix just to see how it holds up, not too lean or you might be paying for a new motor. Yeah, also what brand of oil are you using? I have problems with and also mates have problems with Castrol TTS, it's the worst crap out there. Change brands, lean up the oil there the 2 things you should try first. Then maybe think about seals on the motor, possibly letting oil into you're motor, when it shouldn't be.

this problem happened to my mates yz 125 '98 all we did was leaner mix and now he uses motul 800 factory line pure synthetic as he was running bp brand oil....... neways should just give a new oil and leaner mix a try

Already tried leaning it, rebuilt the engine, new spark leads, done vertually everything except buy a new Carby, i dont know what up with it, and either does our mechanic who can usual do just about nething with a bike, so it must come down to something in the carby being bent or something, not sure really, but we got it to stop fouling plugs by putting a new main Jet in there, so thats a start.

replace the parts in the carby and also try a hotter spark plug

could also be crankcase seals

been done, cept some parts in the carby are unchanged, but they've been checked and nothing seems wrong, and we havent gone with the hotter sparky yet, so that may be next, rather annoying tho, every sunday arvo we strip and and go over it again.
