hey pplz umm i havent build a ramp bfore but have done heaps of welding on other things (moto trailer etc)
just a few questions whats better/stronger for welding ramps mig or stick for the welds??? im good wif both n dad reckons use the stick???

it depends what metal you're using .... if you're using a 2mm or thicker wall thickness it would probly be better to go with the arc (stick) welder cause if you're ok at it you won't burn through that thick .... if you're using a thinner metal i'd go with mig...

i've made ramps with 1.6mm wall thickness using stick however and they came out fine ... you've just gotta be a bit more careful, and if you want to weld sheet metal for the surface you'll def need mig....

anyway it sounds like you can weld so i'm sure you'll be ok!

id say stick iv been told by prowelders that it way beter than mig
