I assume your refering to the Backflip, in which case, you can either do them 1 of a few ways........

1) stocko or hack bike, Steep ramp, Press and Release the "TAB" button, gas it pull back and awaaaaaaaaay ya go,

2nd, go grab the actual backflip trick, or one of several variables on it, Eg. No footed flip, no handed flip, and although it IS a trick, you still need to use the TAB function before attampting it in game, due to the games dynamics. Or there IS a program out there that allowed you to do pretty much anything without falling off, rolls, flips, crashes, nothing will make you crash, however I'm not going to post that because i believe it ruins the brilliant realistics Rainbow and Microsoft achieved with this game.
