i have a kx 250 and tha rear shoka is way tooo soft it sux...what are some options i have on making it heaps harder? :confused:

well I'd be inclined to say, adjust your spring up, and then adjust everything else to make it harder, then if all else fails........get heavier oil put in it. I think there's actually another thread around these parts about soft shocks, have a gander, there's a few opinions in there...

how old is the bike, cause i know a lttle bout suspension, if i know the year i can help, oh and how bigger jumps are u doing?

is there oil running down the little metal pole in the middle of the spring? if there is the seal is gone and thats why is soft, low oil level, or if the bike is ridin heaps the spring goes soft, but its probaly not old enough, or ur just to fat for it, lol, nah, might have a softer spring in it

nope no oil...im only shmall aswell...someone who i kno who doesent seem to kno anything bout moties says that u can get tha shok gased or sumthing....any truth in this?

lol yeh i geussed as much....how do i go about gettin that regased or watever it is that they do to it?....an will it make a big diference and how much does it usally cost?....thanx

yeah the rear shocks in dirtbikes are filled with a gas called nitrogen, and it can be regased at your local moto shop, it wont make much difference as talking about stiffness, ask your local shop, more oil or stiffer spring

also, try gasing it as you land, like a big hand full of throttle when you land. feels smoother.

I have the same problem but mine is the toal opposite . Its to hard . No oil leaking , every thing is to soft and it still is hard as a rock. Could it be my nitorgen escaped?
