View Full Version : NOS on my Pit, possible????

Today I just got my first Pitboss, after riding my brothers Thumpstar around I know I wanted one :D:D
It's a 110cc 3 valve 4 speed with clutch. Pretty soon I will be looking for some effective ways to give me a bit more power, and had the idea of a small shot of nitrous.
It would be mainly for wank factor, but I just wanted to know if it's possible without blowing the engine??
I know it has been done on 2 stroke scooters etc. But on a 4 stroke 110??
Some of you might know about the "Sneaky Pete" NOS kit, I'm pretty sure this is what they use.
So if you can help me out with some info I would really appreciate it:)
Cheers

youd be able to do it aslong as you are rich and can afford to. you might need to upgrade some other parts first aswell. money = power ..in more ways than one

Well I'm not sure what else would be needed to run it safely. In the newest Hot4's mag it's got a detailed section about doing it in a 180cc 2 stroke scooter, but that's a bit different to a 110cc 4 stroke.
They used a 13HP Jet in the Sneaky Pete kit, injected it straight through the pod filter into the carby.
Can anyone tlel me what sort of HP the 110cc 3 valves have?? It said teh scooter had about 20hp, and that the shot doubled the power

I have thought about it a bit more and I think your probably right, it would be a waste of time really. Maybe do it later on when I have a bit more cash lying around.
The big bore kit sound alright but. Can anyone fill me in on them??
I thought the 138cc kits were for the 125cc pitboss's?? And i think they are around $380??
Anyone got any experience with these, are they worth it???

just to fill you in a bit with nos, it wont give you more power as such.... it will just get your to your top speed quicker, i am currently building a scooter with a 50cc water cooled motor on it and we have planned to put nos on it... the mechanic that i use specialises in performance cars and he told me that if you put nos on it will just get u to top speed faster, so if you think u need more acclleration then nos if 4 u!
just quietly the sneaky pete systems have sold out and you need to wait about 3 months to get one from rocket industries, unless u can afford to get it air freighted over from the us....
my scooter will do about 110km/h, but with the nos it will do 0-100 in about 5 seconds if the clutch will hold it....... thats some crazy shit!
dont fu%k with nos its pretty hektic and can cause lots of damage to ur motor if the person hooking it up doesnt know what they are doing...

DONT DO IT !!!!!
Its been done befor my mate pit crews at speedway events and there was a sprint car team sponsed by thumpstar and the guys on the team put NOS on the thumpy 110 and they blew the motor up after a few meets ... and they only rode around the pits on the thing and it didn't last..
NOS is highly corosive shyt, If ya want a bit better power with minimal damage, get racing fuels, oxygeninated fuels have more power but less octane and costs about $8L

put a new aftermarket piston in it before u put NOS on it. the stock piston will just shit itself.

I haven't posted here for a while so it's given me time to think about whether I really want to do it or not, and I've decided not too for the good of the bike ;)
Me and my dad have asked around and we are going to get the barrel bored out to suit a piston etc. which will make the bike 118cc. So hopefully this will let me keep up with my bro's 125cc pitty.. And sound as tuff :D
If anyone has got any more info on boring, and big bore kits please let me know
