ozzie

either way deffinately the pittbos, nothin goes wrong with them and they go really fast. cause the thumpstar goes really bad, my mates got one and the list of wat goes wrong with them is huge

mmm..pitboss dont have much talk going on with them. i think the only reason that you dont hear about anything going wrong with them is because they arent very popular.

thumpstars have minor problems considering they have only had one year to develop.

there are lots of stories about thumpstars and how they break heaps easy but thats with people who dont really care about them and expect them to be able to do anything, i would buy one anyday.
the sdg's are sikkk, i rode that one ^ yesterday and its sweet

the SDG's are heaps nice and if i had the money i would buy one anyday, but in terms of getting one at a cheaper price i would just go the thumpstar.

i have no idea about pitboss cause i dont know anyone that has one, and ive never heard anything about them.

although you can buy one on the fmxaus shop: pitboss (http://www.fmxaustralia.com/store/index.php?cPath=59_88)

ten cent pieces? how does that work.

would it work on a honda too?

twisties
28th March 2005, 08:00 PM
yeah they just act as spacers to compress the springs a bit hard i think? im pretty sure most bikes come with 2spacers in there when they are stock or something

spokes ripping out... if ya dont check your spokes on a bike they bend, snap or rip out.. Only real problem i see is something every bike has and thats bending peg mounts but $130 for a red baron mount will fix that.

I have a 1 month old
05 thumpy 125
its very tuff!
its my first bike (age 20)
an slowly getting to 3m jumps

only thing wrong with my bike is
a)i needed to wear in the gears as it was hard to get into neutral to beguin with
an
b)the aloy fuel cap! sucks arse cos the fuel tank was threaded so i got some fuel spilage when jumping

but other than that i weigh 90kilo an the shocks are still working good enough for me untill i get some better jumps

everything seams to be holding together (tap wood)

thats my 2 bobs worth
thank you for your time

Yeah in the beging the bikes are a pain to get netural, they get better with time, what i use to do was whille rolling to a stop id be in 2nd and half tap down and it goes into "N" while rolling easy as , when stopped the clutch when new seems to not disengage properly so ya cant get "N" while stationary.

Hope that helps , do not put stuff that wears, its the clutch being sticky not the gears.

I love my thumpy, it cracks....

They just brought out a 17 tooth for the Hunge25, if you can get one do so, you get a little extra out of every gear and it also raises the chain which helps eliminate the chain guide prob. Speaking of which I just ended up making one out of checkplate, drilled a few holes in it to rivot the nylon to. It works well and did I mention it cracks..... :woot: :woot:
